Last year onApril 28, IPMS Winnipeg hosted its model contest and show at St. James Legion Branch No. 4 in Winnipeg.
Nearly all the modelers whose works are posted here are from Winnipeg — and the quality of the models attests to a long winter out on the Canadian plains, where the wintertime average low temperature is -4 F (-20 C) and the nearestbig city is Minneapolis, Minn. (One of the modelers is from Dugald, just outside of Winnipeg, and another is from Fargo, N.D., so the same goes for them.) By the time April rolls around in that part of North America, the newly built models are looking good!
This year, the contest and show will be held April 26-27, again at Branch No. 4,with a special modeling theme: “The Baby Boom Years,” (1945-1965). Early registration begins on April 26. For more information, visit IPMS Winnipeg.
Thanks to Tyrel Smith for providing photos of these great models.
